"Well, to my delight I was entreated to a nice mixture of ...Lords of Acid and KMFDM…sort of “Voodoo-U” meets “Nihil” but with MMTM flavour. You could find this music fit into your local industrial dance floor as you would in the background of a porn movie (albeit a really damn good one).".....Seventh-Circle.com

LIVE Review: MMTM @ Radio Radio in Indianapolis .8.11.2.

"Massachusetts's More Machine Than Man walked the mysterious edge, stretching a fabric screen across the stage and performing from behind the thin curtain. From behind this veil, flickering images were cast forward and captured on the screen by means of a video projector at the back of the stage. Illuminated only slightly by red stage lights and dancing artificial scones, the musicians became shadowy ghosts - reminding the audience of their presence only when the lights came slightly up. It was a surprise to some that a band had even begun playing.

For a generation raised on the video image, it was difficult to take ones eyes away from the projected images, especially when the spliced visual track consisted of enough confusingly raw fetish performance to keep the casual observer satisfied for a long time. Implied messages eventually moved from the exotic to the extreme, mixing religion, sex and even brutal finger pointing aimed at the current state of political terrorism by our own government during the song "Decimate The Enemy", which is a response to the state of the world since September 11 of last year.

Punishing, but impressive, mixes of hard house, industrial metal and erotic disco played as a synchronized soundtrack to the multi-media. MMTM take their cue by blending techno beats and grinding guitars with filtered vocals for a cybertechno sound not unlike an aggressive Lords of Acid with a splinter of Waxx Traxx nostalgia. The ringleader, a burly man in PVC named Tech, ran the show behind their projection screen with sequencers and a crushing live guitar. With him came the other core member of the group, Tasha, a willowy form from stage center, adding keys and vocals to the assault. Lasting a scant 45 minutes, the group was at a loss when the show ended and the audience called for more. "But we don't have anymore video" came an apologetic Tasha from behind the curtain. No one seemed to care.".....IndyGoth.com

Review: ELECTROLUST
By Jessica O.

"Rarely does a band manage to top itself, especially when the release to be "topped" is a virtually flawless piece. Boston band More Machine Than Man has managed to do just that by producing a collection of electro-noise aptly titled Electrolust to follow-up their phenomenal debut Robot. Tech [and] Tasha ... unleash 17 tracks of hard-edged 90's inspired industrial sound which is littered with intense guitar hooks and a raw combo of male and female vocals. Combining elements of goth, industrial and techno with the band's background in art and communication skills, MMTM produces a unique and modern style that is un-matched in today's industrial scene.
Electrolust maintains the energy and fetish feel of Robot while further defining the focus of their sound and style. MMTM definitely provides music not suitable for kids, and their resistance to water down who they are to appeal to a younger audience clearly shows on this latest release. From the sexually volatile "Slave" to the blatant middle-finger salute message of "[:fa:]q2", I would hardly reccommend loaning Electrolust to your 12 year old cousin. The band's high voltage style is sleek and perfectly meshed with erotic and electrifying vocals; "Self" oozes sensuality that is accented Tasha's slithering vocals, while "Want" has whispery vox that add an almost eerie element to the track. Trying to put the talent this band embodies into words is almost an impossible feat. MMTM is the answer to every industrial fan's wet dream.".....GothicVixen.net

Kaufpflicht.".....YABBA'S WORLD

Review: ELECTROLUST
By Török Attila
Rating: 100%
A weboldalukat - ami szintén kitûnõ munka - is maguk készítik, sõt a lemez design-ját is õk tervezték.

Review: ELECTROLUST
By Daniel Lukes
Rating: '8 out of 10'
"Electrolust takes the best of ...Thrill Kill Kult, Lords of Acid and KMFDM ...nailing gritty guitars to thumping techno beats, atop with both Tech's gutteral snarling and Tasha's wailing vox. MMTM...are breathing life into a genre these days far too heavily populated with humourless, bloodless Puppy-clones and dreary Ibiza-style dance music masquerading as Goth/EBM. Refreshingly invigorating."

Review: Promotional CDR [VLAD:XIII, DECIMATE THE ENEMY, PAIN, ANARCHY IN THE U.K., etc...]
By Török Attila
Rating: 100%

Review: ELECTROLUST
By Adam McKibbin
Rating: 4 out of 5
.FASCINATION WITH DOMINATION. "Lock up your mothers, sisters, and daughters, More Machine Than Man is back again. They've shown the capacity to deliver the goods on past albums, and Electrolust just keeps 'em coming. And coming. This is good, dirty fun. More Machine Than Man-ers Tech and Tasha take turns fronting the band, which allows them to explode into industrially scraped ragers or retreat into torchy bondage ballads. "Slave" is a standout track that seethes with menace. "I’m here to rape your sister, I’ve come to kill your god," Tech leers. "I’m here to fuck your mother with a rusty iron rod." All aboard! "Touch" gets you to spare the rod and get yourself out on the dancefloor. Despite the huskily scratched lyrics about dominatrixes, this is a much friendlier number and its’ chorus is sugary enough for mainstream radio. The pulsing dance beats will be enough to get those bodies sweaty out beneath the laser lights. Working out of the Northeast, More Machine Than Man is a multimedia project as much as they are a band, although the album does just fine standing on its own. Their club shows blend their live music with performance art and film… Electrolust is a sleek offering that will have you fighting and fucking into tomorrow."

.HARDCORE INDUSTRIAL. The fetish cybergoth More Machine Than Man crank out industrial electronics, techno beats, and grinding guitars with a passion on ROBOT. The mix of female and male vocals on many of the songs particularly add a compelling element to the dark and intense music.

Review: ROBOT
By Török Attila
Rating: 100%
"2000-ben sok furcsaság történ a világban, ezek egyike a MMTM Robot címû CD-je. A kéttagú formáció image-ének a középpontjában a torz szexualitás áll.
.: SIDE-LINE #37 & Grave Concerns :.

Review: ELECTROLUST
by Julie Johnson
"More Machine Than Man's follow up release ElectroLust, is over the edge. This CD attacks the listener in so many ways, and rips though some of the most intense tracks. The songs on Electrolust, are hard with powerful guitar hooks and killer electronics. This is totally industrial chaos, that really ignites. The CD also mixes both males and female voices that gives the CD much flavor. "Slave" has crunchy guitar, and sizzling electronics, and raw aggressive vocals. "Touch" adds, sexy female vocals in like a whisperly tone. "Self" has excellent programming, and great emphasis on the drumming. This song is razor sharp, I love it. The drumming on "Urine" also is standout, but the song was too repeative, and the words might of worked better in the song "Touch". "God" was a hard pounding song, that was loud, and would definitely wake up some neighbors on a Sunday morning. Good manipulation of electronics, when the drumming was less. It some ways, I like to compare their guitar power to something like Rob Zombie with more noise. MMTM will sure to please to the hard edged industrial fans. Definitely a true leader, nothing mainstream here."

LIVE Review: MMTM @ the Dark Corner in Philadelphia .7.14.1
by Electrichead
Rating: "Dear god, this is good" on a scale of "Iffy" to "Holy Shit!"

"MMTM was the best show I've seen this year. [Yes, even better than Depeche Mode]...The only think I can compare them to is: KMFDM, mix in the artistic videos of Nine Inch Nails [and a bit of the musical stylings too] and add in a lot of good, understandable vocals, and you get More Machine Than Man.
